Dr. Jay Johnston began serving as Red Bluff's Transitional Interim Pastor in November of 2020. A native of New Orleans, Jay most recently served as the Executive Pastor of FBC Fort Lauderdale, FL. Prior to that, he served for ten years as Assoc. Pastor of FBC Covington, LA. Jay holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana College, a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Jerilyn have two adult children.

Ed Herring

A native of Natchez, Mississippi, Ed has served RBBC as Assoc. Pastor, Music since June 2013. He holds a B.S. in Music Education from Louisiana Tech University and is pursuing a Master of Divinity in Christian Education through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Ed has served churches in Louisiana, Texas, and Tennessee through youth and music ministry since 1990. Ed's wife Melissa is a resource teacher for Folsom Elementary School. Ed and Melissa have two sons, Nicholas and Samuel.

Youth Minister

Cody Roberts

Cody Roberts began serving as our Youth Minister in October of 2019. Cody is a native of Winfield, Alabama and earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alabama, Huntsville. Currently, he is pursuing a standard MDiv through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where his wife Becky works in the business office. Cody and Becky have been married since December, 2020.

Dr. Susanne O. Core, DMD

Originally from Crosby, MS, Dr. Susanne O. Core, DMD has served as Red Bluff's Children's Director since 2015. She is owner/operator of Northshore Dental in Covington. When time allows, she and husband James Leonard enjoy spending time at the hunting camp and catching some of their favorite country and pop artists in concert. They have an adult son, Marshall.

Ministry Assistant

Kathy McCarthy

Kathy has filled the crucial role of Ministry Assistant for Red Bluff since May 2015. Having grown up in New Orleans, Kathy has been a Northshore resident for 35 years. She loves horses and holds a black belt in Karate. She and her husband Lou have two adult children, Tim and Arielle.
